Pack fast. Find everything. Keep your gear protected.
Packing a large amount of gear is easier when you can see everything at once. The DryTide 50L waterproof duffel bag has one large opening, so you can load bulky gear quickly and find what you need without digging through pockets and compartments.
The waterproof construction makes it especially useful when your gear may get wet. Put a wet wetsuit inside after a day on the water, load the bag onto a boat or motorcycle, or leave it in the back of a pickup when rain is on the way.
It is a simple 50L gear bag for people who would rather have one large space than a bag full of separate compartments.
Highlights:
- 50 L capacity
- 100% waterproof construction
- Large opening for easy access
- Fully welded seams
- Floats when properly closed
- Top, side and shoulder carrying options

You have a pile of gear on the floor. A wetsuit, shoes, towel, jacket and a few smaller things that somehow always end up in different bags.
With a duffel, you do not need to make everything fit into separate compartments. Open the top, put everything inside and close it.
Later, when you need something, you open the bag and can see what you packed. No digging through a narrow opening. No opening five different pockets.
And when some of that gear is still wet, you do not have to worry about water dripping through the bag onto the car floor.
That is what makes a large waterproof duffel useful. It keeps packing simple and gives your gear one dry place to go.
We wanted a large bag that was easy to pack and easy to look through.
With a backpack, you often have pockets and separate compartments for good reasons. But when you are carrying a lot of bulky gear, those same compartments can make packing slower and finding things harder. You know something is in the bag, but you still have to look for it.
A duffel solves that problem with one large opening and one large main compartment. You can put larger items in without trying to fit them through a narrow opening, and when you open the bag, you can see much more of what is inside.
We made this duffel waterproof because a large gear bag is often used around water and in unpredictable weather. Put wet wetsuits and other wet gear straight inside without worrying about water dripping through the bag. And when you’re carrying dry gear, the waterproof construction helps protect it from rain, spray and wet conditions during transport, whether the bag is on a boat, motorcycle, pickup truck or outside a vehicle.
The result is a simple 50L waterproof gear bag that is easy to load, easy to access and easy to move when it is full.
The 50L Duffel is a good choice if you value quick access and flexible storage more than built-in organization.
- You want one large opening where you can quickly pack and unpack your gear.
- You often carry bulky or awkward items that are easier to drop into a large compartment.
- You want to see and reach your gear without digging through a backpack.
- You regularly transport wet gear, such as wetsuits, towels or other water sports equipment.
- Your gear may be exposed to rain, spray or wet conditions during transport.
- You mostly move and transport the bag rather than carry it on your back for long periods.
- You want a simple 50L bag that can be used for travel, outdoor gear or everyday equipment.
- You want to carry 50L on your back for long periods. The 50L Waterproof Travel Backpack is designed around carrying.
- You prefer multiple compartments and built-in organization.
- You need the highest level of waterproof protection for situations involving submersion. The Point Nemo Airtight Backpack is designed for that type of use.
- You want a bag that is mainly designed around quick access through a waterproof zipper rather than a large roll-top opening.

✓ 50L main compartment

✓ Flexible waterproof construction
The main body of the Duffel uses waterproof PVC material with fully welded seams. The waterproof construction helps keep water from passing through the main body of the bag.
The roll-top closure lets you adjust the size of the bag depending on how much you pack. Roll it down further for smaller loads, or use the full available space when carrying more gear. Roll the top down at least three times, buckle the ends and tighten the compression straps to secure it.
When properly closed, the bag can float on the surface if it ends up in the water. The waterproof construction itself does not let water through.
However, this is not a submersible bag. The long roll-top closure is harder to seal tightly enough for prolonged underwater use. If the bag enters the water with the roll top facing down, water can slowly enter through the closure.
Use it for rain, spray, wet gear and exposed transport, not as a bag designed to stay underwater.
Three wetsuits. Booties. Gloves. Two changing ponchos. A large beach towel. A first aid kit. A GoPro case. Smaller essentials. And there is still room for more.
This is what fits inside the 50L Duffel when you pack it with real gear:

Adventure Starts Where the Road Ends
Every DryTide backpack and bag is built to keep your gear dry. The right choice depends on where your adventures take you.
One large opening makes it easy to load bulky items, see what is inside and transport wet gear without worrying about water dripping through the bag.
Backpack-style carrying makes it a better choice when you need to carry a full load on your back for longer periods.
A smaller and easier-to-carry option when you do not need the 50L capacity or large open storage space of the Duffel.
Airtight waterproof construction and quick-access zipper make it a better fit when protection from serious water exposure is the main priority.
Is the DryTide 50L Duffel Bag waterproof?
Yes. The main body uses waterproof PVC material and fully welded seams. When the roll top is properly closed, the construction helps keep water from getting through the main body of the bag.
Can the 50L Duffel Bag be submerged?
It is not designed as a submersible bag. The waterproof construction itself does not let water through, but the long roll-top closure is not intended for prolonged underwater use. If the bag enters the water with the roll top facing down, water can enter through the closure.
Does the Duffel Bag float?
Yes, when it is properly closed and enough air is trapped inside. If it ends up in the water, the waterproof construction can keep it floating on the surface.
How much can the 50L Duffel actually hold?
The 50L main compartment can hold a large amount of bulky gear. As a real example, it can fit three wetsuits, booties, gloves, two changing ponchos, a large beach towel, a first aid kit, a GoPro case and smaller items, with some room left over.
Is it good for storing wet wetsuits?
Yes. This is one of the practical advantages of the waterproof duffel. You can put wet wetsuits, towels and other wet gear directly inside instead of carrying them in a regular fabric bag that can let water drip through.
Is the Duffel comfortable to carry?
It has a padded shoulder strap, two top handles and two side handles. It is designed mainly for loading and transporting gear, rather than carrying a full 50L load on your back for long periods.
Why does it have one large compartment instead of more pockets?
The large compartment is intentional. It makes the bag easier to pack with bulky gear and lets you see and reach more of the contents when the bag is open. Two small internal mesh pockets are provided for smaller items that you do not want to lose in the main compartment.
Can I use it for travel?
Yes. It works as a regular 50L travel duffel when you want a large, simple compartment and easy access to your gear. Its waterproof construction also gives you extra protection when your luggage is exposed to rain or wet conditions.
Can I attach the duffel to a motorcycle, boat or vehicle?
Yes. The bag has plastic tie-down loops that can be used with straps or bungee cords to secure it during transport.
How do I clean the bag?
Rinse it with fresh water after use and let it air dry. After saltwater use, rinse the bag with fresh water to remove salt residue, especially from the external pocket zipper.
How durable is the bag?
The waterproof construction uses PVC material with ultrasonic welded seams. It is designed for regular outdoor use and gear transport. To maintain its waterproof performance, keep it away from sharp objects.

I love this bag, it’s a must have bag for all my sailing trips.

This bag is a miracle. I take it everywhere. At first, I bough it for a dingy bag to accompany my travels from the sailing boat to the shore. But eventually, the bag cam with me to the mainland, and now I use it as a day-to-day bag. I take it to the gym, to the market, when packing a short half day with my kid. Everything.
Why? It is waterproof, so no worries. The design is slick. Every item is visible from the top. Washable. And with those extra 3 pockets I can organize the aleet, keys, phone, tec.
Stongly recommended.
